Maintenance Director for Assisted Living Facility

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the safety, functionality, and appearance of our assisted living community. This role is essential to providing a comfortable, well-maintained environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all building maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations (including life safety, fire, and health standards)
- Manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general facility systems
- Conduct regular inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment
- Coordinate and supervise outside vendors and contractors
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
- Maintain maintenance schedules, logs, and inventory
- Assist with room turnovers and renovations as needed
- Participate in inspections and surveys (state, fire marshal, etc.)
- Oversee housekeeping department
Qualifications
- Prior maintenance experience required; healthcare or assisted living experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general repairs
- Strong understanding of safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Reliable, dependable, and resident-focused
- Must be able to pass background screening and drug screening
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb as required
- On-call availability for emergencies may be required
